Polka Dot Paris Skirt

I generally followed this tutorial from Nothing Too Fancy to make Clara a fun polka dot skirt. I unfortunately didn’t have enough matching thread for the waistband, but I found a decent substitute!

Version to for a friend’s birthday.

And version 3 for my 1 year old niece. I started adding a bow to the waistband.

Version 4!

Date night

Chris and I needed a night out, and our friend Karri was kind enough to watch Clara for us. We went to Fogo De Chao in Beverly Hills. It is a fancy Brazilian a Steakhouse that came recommended by multiple friends. It is pricey, even with a discount for restaurant week, but we went for the experience. After a huge salad bar complete with halibut and 12 different cuts of meat brought to our table unlimitedly, we were very full! Chris created the stages of meat toxicity during our meal.

Stage I: meat sweats; meat hiccups
Stage II: meat stares
Stage III: kidney failure; meat coma
Stage IV: persistent meatetative state; death

In order to recover from the toxicity, we went for a drive through Beverly Hills. I decided that fancy candy was the cure! We drove pastSugarfina, and I knew we had to stop in!

They greeted us with “shots of candy” and let us sample anything we wanted. You can buy little packets of candy for $2.50, and boxes for $7-$20ish. There are also gift packages, and you can send candy grams anywhere in the country. This cute shop doesn’t make it’s own candy; they get their treats from the best candy shops across the country. I highly recommend stopping in for a treat, but maybe leave the kids out if this candy store if you don’t bring extra money along. 🙂
