LACMA

Chris is on night float currently, working 8-9, 16 hour overnight shifts over the next 2 weeks covering psych patients in the UCLA ED. Thankfully, last night wasn’t too busy and he got 4 hours of sleep. Since he doesn’t work again until Sunday, we got to spend a family afternoon in LA. I chose to go to the LACMA, Los Angeles County Museum of Art. We went once while visiting LA during May of 2011, but hadn’t been back since. The museum is huge and simply a fun place to hang out! I know nothing about art, but it’s fun to just take things in. If you live in LA county, general admission is free Mon-Fri after 3 (closed Wed though)! We paid $10 to park, but still not awful for a wonderful museum. Kids under 17 and one adult with them is always free, so we’ll have to go back before long. The museum has a Boone Children’s Gallery when kids can paint their own masterpieces. Clara made a painting for our friend Sherry, who eventually joined us with her fiancĂ© Andrew.

After the LACMA, we made the short trip to the Grove and Farmers Market. Here is our day in pictures.
