On Friday the 24th our goal was to get to Sterling, CO, but we were going well so made it to Henderson, right outside of Denver. Turns out there is only 1 place to eat in Henderson, and it is the home of the Mile High Flea Market. The one restaurant was nothing to write home about, and neither was the flea market unfortunately. Maybe the flea market would have been better later in the day though. We thought all of the good stuff would be gone arriving 2 hours after opening, but everyone was just setting up.
Clara’s favorite part of Henderson was the hotel room with lots of room to run around and play.
After we left the hotel on the 25th, we went and explored downtown Denver. As it turns out, half of the roads in downtown Denver are closed on Memorial Day weekend for various parades, concerts, and art fairs. We still had fun! Lunch at The Market was good, and we walked through the 16th Street Mall and the fine art festival. On the way back to our car we realized that Clara was down 1 sandal. Thankfully, I was able to find it by retracing our steps.

I wanted a picture with Clara in Denver. She wanted milk. I thought it might work without the milk. I was wrong.
I’ll tell you about Bailey, CO soon!
